Sunglasses as unique as you are
At least 25 processes go into creating each pair of Ballo sunglasses, all carried out by hand, or hand-operated machines, in Cape Town. In fact, all of our products are made from scratch on South African soil with an environmentally friendly approach to their design.
Our frames are made from off-cuts of wood veneers sourced from local furniture makers, strengthened with a central layer of robust material made out of recycled paper. Then we laminate it all together with a bio resin for extra durability before finishing each pair with more off-cut timber, up cycled Denim, Mozambican ShweShwe fabric, or domestic Buffalo horn. See, we told you there were a lot of processes, and we haven’t even got to the lenses yet.
Speaking of which, all our sunglasses also come with 100% polarised lenses for enhanced glare reduction and superior eye protection. Or if you prefer, you can fit them with RX or prescription lenses.
We believe the world looks better through Ballo's. But don’t take our word for it. Why not take a look for yourself?
